Has Guitar Hero run its course?

For many people being a famous rock star has always been a dream hasnt it? Since the release of the very first game it has enabled people to do just that. For many people there was no longer any need trying to learn how to play the guitar when all you had to do is plug in a controller to the Xbox 360 and away you go! Of course Guitar Hero is not as satisfying as a real intrument (it isnt supposed to be) but it has certainly made its mark on the world enabling people to play thier favourite songs from the comfort of thier own living rooms.

There are now giant names to the GH name such as ACDC and Metallica to allow thier fans to play all of thier best love songs all on one game.

With the new drums and microphone being added to World Tour it enabled fans to actually form a full band either in thier living rooms or over Xbox Live so it felt like a much more realistic experience.

it s also certainly true to say that there are many bands out there that cannot stand the product and insist that fans should refuse to buy it and take up playing a real instrument. There is of course no better alternative than actually playing a real instrument which is something that the game understands but what bands do not undertand is how much time and effort needs to be put in to actually learn an instrument.

But for people who have always been interested in being a DJ then DJ Hero is on its way for you. Of course buying all your own DJ equipment and DJ software is expensive and not to mention hard work, could Activision have it right again with this or are they simply going too far?

Of course if you already are a DJ why not purchase some Behringer headphones to make those ears a it safer when you are playing a set.
