My laptop battery really has been driving me crazy for the last six months. I have had to replace the battery twice already because the laptop is quite old. When I went to replace it the last time though, I was told that there were no more of this type of battery being made. I was a bit upset about this because I felt that they could have told me this when I first bought the computer. So I have ended up with a battery that was only charging for a short period of time and then it just stopped charging altogether.

I know it wasn’t the end of my laptop because I had my mains power to get it working. I consoled myself with the knowledge that at least the computer was still working; I didn’t realise he significance of not having a battery in your laptop. It isn’t just inconvenient; it also means that there is no back-up power supply. So I end up with a dead laptop every time I accidentally knock out the lead for the power supply out of the laptop. I never realised it previously but knocking out the plug in my laptop is something I do all the time; at least once a day. Because of this I have lost tons of work and it has caused me on a few occasions to almost throw the laptop in the bin.

However I have come across a solution to this problem in recent days – an external battery. The external battery is a great alternative to having an internal battery although obviously not the perfect solution. Knowing my work is safe if the plug comes out accidentally is the best thing for me and why I am so happy with the external battery. This was quite a reasonably priced purchase and it is certainly paying for itself.

Memory cards are used in many products today. iphone accessories happen to be a great example of this also. Another one that is used nowadays is the ipod accessories.
