– Master the ‘rocket start.’ This is a crux of each and every Mario Kart game. Effectively pulling off the rocket start will provide you with an early advantage in the round.  To instigate the rocket start, press the gas button as soon as the timer reaches down to 2.  You must perfect your timing however, as being off for only a millisecond will compromise the skill.
