Observing The Xerox 4400 Printer
If you’re looking for a high volume laser printer that produces gray scale documents, the Xerox Phaser 4400 printer is a good choice to make. It will print your documents very quickly and often times be through before you get to the printer. It is a dependable machine and you can print knowing that there will not be any malfunctions or splotchy pages thanks to the 4400 laser toner.
The processor works at 266 MHz, allowing you to run the printing from the model. With the memory being able to expand to 64 MB, you can store and print large jobs on the printer and save your computer resources. You will get the first page in about 11 seconds and then it will print 26 ppm at 1,200 dpi, giving you clear and sharp images and text.
The printer installs easily and knowing your IP is not required in order for you to attach it to the network. It uses an Ethernet connection, and is easy to operate, even by those with no computer skills. It will also alert those on the group when the toner and paper are low, so it can be addressed before any printing is done.
It does have a 550 sheet capacity paper tray, which is enough for a full ream of paper. It can hold 16 to 133 pound paper, from bond to card stock and they all will be fed from the tray with no additional equipment needed. It can use custom sized paper, legal paper or regular A4 papers, and there is an optional envelope feeder to make printing even more versatile.
The printer is a high capacity printer and can do up to 150,000 pages per month. There are two Xerox cartridge options, with the standard producing 10,000 pages and the high capacity giving you 15,000 pages from one toner. These can be found in office supply stores at a reasonable price, so the consumables are not a problem when needing to be replaced.
They also offer extra features on the printer to make this even easier to use. You can use the pop up alert to find out why a printing job has not been completed and the PhaserSMART online help can identify problems through their troubleshooter. Printing is also easier with extra options like printing from a PDF document and edge to edge printing.
This printer is no longer being manufactured by the company. While you can still buy it, there is a greater chance that you will have to get it pre-owned rather then new. The toners and drivers are still widely supported, so the printer is still a very viable option.
For one of the best black and white printers, the Xerox Phaser 4400 printer is a fantastic choice. You can do a variety of printing needs, on all kinds of paper and maintain fast speeds. It is also one of the easiest printers to install and use which makes it a good choice for those offices that are not necessarily high tech, but still need excellent printing.
