Pricing And Release Date Of T-Mobile G2
T-Mobile’s G2 has finally released an official date and price. As T-Mobile’s latest Android powered phone, designed specifically to work with T-Mobile’s HSPS+ network, will be available nation wide on October 6th. All existing T-Mobile customers can pre-order the G2 on October 4th, and will be able to pick it up on the 6th. If you are not a T-Mobile customer, you could pre-order from Best Buy. The pre-orders at Best Buy started on September 10th. The price comes to $200 with contract. Without contract it will come to $500.
The G2 works on the android 2.2 platform and is powered by MSM7230 Snapdragon silicon with 800 MHz clock cycle. The G2 also includes a QWERTY keyboard. The phone also has Swype keyboard. You also have regular Android phone features like a beautiful high resolution touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus, LED camera flash, and HD video capability. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack and ships with 8GB memory card. There is a microSD lot for additional memory. The screen features auto rotating feature which automatically shows your picture in landscape or portrait mode. The G2, being part of T-Mobile high speed network, will be able to deliver 4G speeds.
The T-Mobile G2 gives access to Google applications such as Google search, GTalk, Google maps, gmail, calendar and YouTube. The web browser will be powered by Adobe flash player. The phone also allows for voice action from Google, which will give you the power to use your voice to control your phone. The GPS with navigation and capability and track pad for navigation are included.
The T-Mobile G2 accessories such as battery, charger, USB cable, stereo headset and memory card are included in the shipment. The battery that is included with the G2 phone is a 1300mAh, which gives you talk time of up to 6.5 hours and a stand by time of 17.5 days. Of course, you need to agree to a 2 year contract or pay twice the amount, but the G2 Android is going to be worth it.
