Rogue Leveling Guide – 3 Essential Things To Consider Before You Create Your Rogue

Just like hunter, a Rogue posses several advantages in leveling, thus he can level up faster than most of other classess. Most people think that Rogue high DPS is the only factor that allow him to do that, however, that is only half of the truth. The cooldown is one of the biggest advantages of being a Rogue, and that includes almost everything: blind, cloak of shadows, vanish, etc.  Nevertheless, aside from all those advantages, there are several Rogue leveling guide tips that you must know to boost your Rogue leveling speed:

1. Race
Aside from Draenei and Tauren, you may choose any race you like. Having said that, I would like to suggest lots of races that can give your rogue some additional advantages. Here are some races I recommend:

Alliance
– Human: improved rep gains, mace and sword expertise, escape, and increased stealth detection.
– Gnome: escape.
– Dwarf: stone form, great at using maces.

Horde
– Orc: enrage, resistant to stuns, great at using axes.
– Troll: berserk, increased regeneration, improved damage against beast, improved critical chance with throwing weapons, reduced duration of movement impaired effects.

2. Talent Build
Like any other classes, there are three talent trees that you can choose here. While most of the rogue leveling guides out there will suggest you to take Combat or Assassination tree, the Subtlety tree does have its own advantages. If you are keen on sneaky things, Subtlety can satisfy that, however, remember that Subtlety build is not that great for long fights.

Note: with an excellent leveling guide, you can also get in game talent advisor available as one of the features. Check out other magnificent features at a review of Zygor guides.

Combat
The basic and classic Rogue talent build. Concentrating on Combat tree allows you to burst huge DPS with dual-wield specialization regardless of the quality of your weapons. Here are several essential talents and abilities in this build:
– Blade Flurry: strike 1 additional enemy
– Ambidexterity: increase damage by your off hand
– Vitality: increase your attack power
– Main Gauche: improved chance for extra off hand attack

Assassination
This build mostly focus on the use of poison to get rid of your adversaries. Here are several vital talents and abilities in this build:
– Mutilate: attack with both weapons
– Assassin’s Resolve: your damage increase while you’re using daggers.
– Improved Poisons: improve the chance to apply Deadly and Instant Poison.
– Potent Poison: boost the damage done by your poison.

Subtlety
As I mentioned above, this build is the “sneaky” build. It is somewhat like ninja; you’ll be sneaky and attack from stealth. Here are some essential abilities and talents within this build:
– Shadowstep: show up behind your enemy and make your Ambush and Garrote damage higher.
– Master of Subtlety: attack from stealth does extra damage.
– Sinister Calling: enhance your agility and add more damage of Backstab and Hemorrhage.
– Executioner: improve the damage of all your finishing moves.

3. The Way to Level Up Your Character
You may want to do it by yourself, together with your friends, or utilizing a fast Rogue leveling guide. It is completely up to you. Right now at WoW, there are only several ways to level up that offer truly massive XP:
– Leveling through quests
– Utilizing Dungeons
– Making use of Battleground weekends, but only if you are on the winning side.

For me, questing is the most stable, decent, and fast way of leveling. Needless to say, that only when you understand the most efficient way to finish each quest in the quickest possible way. Look into a list of the fastest leveling guides with optimized quest circuit on WoW leveling guide.

From the three Rogue leveling guide tips above, 2 things have really great impact on your leveling speed: talent build and leveling methods. For fastest leveling, I suggest you take either Combat or Assassination build. As for leveling method, quest leveling is the most recommended, although you can still dungeoning once in a while for some extra XP and better gears.
