Make Your Old Laptop Look Great Again
You may find that your old laptop is looking a bit on the rough side if you have had it for quite a number of years. You might even think that the best thing for you to do would be just to go out and get a new one. Before you do this though, you might want to just try out the following things. If you follow the tips below, you might be able to get your laptop looking great again.
- Make sure that you thoroughly clean your laptop and screen but ensure that you are using the correct products and cleaning solution for a job like this. Make sure that you are doing this right so that you don’t end up causing damage to your laptop. If you want the best results you are best advised to pay somebody to perform the clean for you. You should clean your computer at least every six months; you can use things like pressurised air to help you clean the keyboard and LCD cleaners that have been specifically designed for laptops.
- If you computer is starting to run very slowly then it might be worth your while re-installing Windows. You should also check to ensure that you have all the latest updates and that your antivirus protection is doing its job.
- Remove any applications that you no longer use as these just take up room on your computer.
- Every now and then it is a good idea to run a defrag of your hard drive because this can often cause a computer to slow down.
- If you find that your laptop runs out of charge very quickly then you might need to get a new one. But for laptops which are quite old, it can be difficult to find replacement batteries or they end up costing a small fortune. In this instance you might want to consider an external battery.
So there you have just a few tips. Your computer should be back as good as new if you follow these.

Pros:
+ Excellent game selection. Good price.
+ a great Blu-ray player that is updated frequently by Sony ( firmware updates allow this player to evolve over time!)
+ ability to rent/stream movies from my couch through PSN. No subscription needed.
+ obviously the SLIM is lighter, smaller, and more energy efficient.
+ much quieter than 40GB PS3! (especially during blu-ray playback and long game play!)
+ PS3 Slim has ability to bitstream Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD MA audio( my receiver can now display TrueHD audio properly!)
+ Amazing overall build/construction.
+ Very good graphics.
+ Compact size.
+ Solid menu system.
+ Streaming-media works flawless.
+ Has held up for almost non-stop running for a few months now, doesn’t even seem to hiccup.
+ Great cost/value
Cons:
- No linux support, games a little bit expensive, expensive accesories as well
- No PS2 Backward compatibility
- Backup Utility is awkward (nobody uses FAT32 format anymore and it’s actually a process to even format a HDD that way)
- Online play isn’t as good as 360′s
- No mic jack on controller
- Controller requires a USB connection for charging. Controller does not have removable batteries.
- The relatively low loading of blue ray (from the moment you put it in to the moment it actually starts playing)
- That it only has 2 usb ports and that both are in the front (I would have liked to have one or two in the back to connect the dongle for my wireless keyboard)
- The webrowser is nice to have, but not very fast and not too friendly. A more common safari/opera/IE would have been even nicer
- That it doesn’t support SACD, PS2 games or even have the card readers the original model had.
Well, that’s all. Hope this will help you a little bit.

Why should buy PS3 Slim than FAT?
You need to khow that The PS3 Slim is a superior product when compared with the PS3 80/160GB models. this not overpriced anymore, versatile gaming console, property packed, multimedia hub and Blu-ray device, PS3 slim earns position the 5th star that I acknowledged the Classic models and I didn’t conclude in predecessors models deserved. These are the reason why should buy the Slim one:
- A lot smaller. I heard that it was smaller, but seeing is believing! The photos don’t do the scheme justice, and it’s not really till you see and feel the difference that you are impressed with it. If you can, go into your local game store and check it out for yourself! If you’ve previously owned a Playstation station, you already see the difference the slimmer version makes when compared to the original, bulky ones. What’s really convenient is that the slimmer PS3 not only means your video gaming is more portable, but that you have a really convenient Blu-Ray player.
- Not a fingerprint magnet. I love the sleek look of my PS3 Fat, but don’t like how it constantly needs to be cleaned. The glossy finish is a fingerprint magnet! The matte finish on the Slim is much easier to maintain. That being said, it doesn’t look as shiny and cool, but I think its convenience outweighs that.
- More storage. Storage was never an emerge for me on my 80GB scheme, but for those who loved many storage, you get 40GB much with this scheme (120GB in total). It may not seem equal some, but you can arrest More movies, pictures, and music albums with 120GB. If that’s still not enough, you can always install a 2.5″ hard drive yourself, or better yet, plug in an external hard drive in one of the Universal Serial Bus ports. You can easily get a portable 500GB external hard drive for less than $100, or a bigger, bulkier one with around 1TB of storage for roughly the same. That being said, I think 120GB for $300 should be more than enough for most users, and is a significant improvement over the 80GB for $400 that people were paying just a few weeks ago!
- Sensational Controller. The Dualshock 3 wireless controller included with The PS3 120GB (PS3 Slim) system provides The most intuitive game play experience, with pressure sensors in each action button and The inclusion of The highly sensitive Sixaxis motion sensing technology. Each hit, crash and explosion is more realistic when The user feels The rumble right in The palm of their hand. It can even find natural movements for real-time and advanced precision interactive activity, playacting as a natural addition of The user’s embody. Dualshock 3 utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless game play and The controller’s detachable USB cable to seamlessly and automatically charge The controller when connected to The PlayStation 3. By desegregation all of these features into The favourite PlayStation remote system, The Dualshock 3 promote enhances The advanced gameplay experience accessible on The PlayStation 3 scheme.
What’s in The Box.
- New slimmer and lighter Playstation 3 system with a 120 GB HDD, Internet-ready built-in Wi-Fi, 2 USB ports and HDMI + Bravia Synch output for 1080p resolution and connectivity between other Sony HDMI products.
- Dualshock 3 wireless controller.
- AC power cord, AV cable and Universal Serial Bus cable.
- Free PlayStation Network membership.
So, what are you ready and waiting for? Hot Video Game Console Suchlike This Will SELL OUT VERY Rapidly, order now to desist dissatisfaction before the cost raised.

Goozex Review: No Need For Gamestop
Where do gamers go?
The choices you have as a gamer are:
- Buy (Online, Ebay, used, Gamestop..)
- Rent (Gamefly, blockbuster…)
- Trade (Goozex, Switchplanet..)
Renting in the past at your brick and mortar rental place can easily set you back more then $5-$7 every week like Blockbuster. There have been other online rental game sites that charge a monthly fee like /month for one game out like Gamefly. Renting isn’t all together bad but playing videogames isn’t like watching movies. Much more time is needed for videogames than movies. Most movies range from 1.5 hours to epics of 6 hours. Where most videogames you could get a good feel for a game in 3 hours but most sports games and long role playing games could be played for more then 70 hours.
This is where Goozex Game Trading steps in. Goozex allows the gamer to keep the game as long as you want but have the option to sell it too. There is only a $1 transaction fee if you request a game on their network. So basically you can trade in your older games and build up Goozex credit until you get enough for a newer title and just pay the $1 transaction fee. A shipping and handling is handled by sender and the buyer only pays . There is no monthly membership so you can stop at anytime or go at a slower pace. This is ideal in the sense that you could play the game until you are actually sick of it then send it in for credit. No hurry as you play and ship at your own pace. Plus you OWN the game. From then on the game is yours, not a rental.
The network is peer to peer in that you can only request games and send games to other members. There is no single central warehouse and the pricing of the credits of the system are in points (100pts = $5). The pricing of the game is determined by market demand, release date, initial cost of the game, and a couple other factors. Most xbox 360 titles will go for 800-1000 pts which translates to $40-$50. This isn’t bad for a used game. Some money can be saved buying used but there is still tax and travel time/cost. Goozex gives you free shipping to you with no tax charge. You can buy games directly but will cost you a premium but then again this money is locked in credits anyways. The game prices will fluctuate and you will see the price change in your history. I’ve had a couple games I requested and I can see that price increase/decrease. It doesn’t happen that much but some games change +/- 200pts depending on market demand.
So why use Goozex instead of a used videogame store or an auction site with games like Ebay? You just need $1 to pay for the transaction fee. Most people don’t like to continually shell out more money for a game and then feel like the games they bought are depreciating at a very fast rate. Selling your game for cash anywhere will not give you that much. Selling it to a store they will mark your game up to make money. Selling it online at an auction site will incur fees and you still have to pay for shipping. Goozex at least you get to trade in games you are done with and still get some value out of it as it will lead to other games you really want. There might be more difficulty in sending older sports titles as those don’t have much demand once their season is up like trying to sending in EA sports Madden 2005 will be a hard game to sell to someone on the network. Even if you were to put it older games on ebay you will have a hard to moving it and you will have to pay per insertion. You can build your own game list and no insertion fees.
Lots of integrated information like tips and reviews. I love being able to see the supply and demand of each game. This will let you know if you have a game people want or if you can possibly get a game on the network. Goozex determines who gets the game by matching up users. There is a waiting list that is generated and when you add a game you will see in what place you are waiting for that game. This is a fabulous idea as impatient gamers can tell if they should expect a game soon. There is also a distinction between games you want now and games you have for holding. They will show you your place in line per game. This is a good way to build up a wishlist and then have your core set of games your really want now. It is ideal to have a very large set of games you want now so you will have a very good chance of getting a game soon. I requested Crackdown and I was like 60 people back. Turns out I got the game in less then 2 weeks. Just because you’re really deep in line doesn’t mean you won’t get the game soon. The system can deliver newer games in a short amount of time which is a huge bonus for gamers that want to play newer games but don’t want to buy them at the store. You have the option of trading just the game, the game with instructions, or the full package that includes case and instructions. Some people tend to not keep cases or instructions. The value of the game doesn’t go down as the credits don’t reflect what is included. This is because the user requesting the game can have the option to request only full packaged games, games with instructions, or just the game itself. I have not had a problem with getting full packages as I’ve gotten over 49 games and I’ve sent out 54 in under 2 years of being there.
Why NOT to use
For this site to be a perfect 5 star site I would like to see:
1. More users (will there ever be enough?)
2. More retro gaming console support (nes, snes, saturn….)
3. Sure isn’t free but man it’s 4 quarters. I’m a member of another site that has no transaction fees yet still protects the members.
4. Sneak peak video game trailers
5. More user interaction like user reviews and tournaments…)
All the above are small tweaks to the system that is already very functional. The main reason someone would NOT want to use this system is time and money. If you have the dough you would just buy it new down the street? Why wait? The main draw to the site is how much money you can save and the community there. Save money and also connect with other gamers. If you wanted to save money but are impatient then this sits is NOT for you. I’ve experienced about 1-2 month turn around time for new games. Why? You are placed in a waiting line. The order of the Que determines when you get the new game, but more importantly is how many are available? Most people will play a new release for a certain amount of time before listing their games. The wait times do get long. Say you want to play a game that takes a long time to beat. Some people like myself take a long time with games. Seasonal games with many updates like Madden will hit the system quick but it’s also a bad thing. You don’t want to hold a game too long or it will lose it’s value. Trading for early on might be for 1000 points but in a couple months with the market being saturated it could be 500 points in no time losing half of it’s value. Not entirely the fault of the system but some games just won’t move depending on your timing.
Current Goozex Simultaneous Transaction on the Network as of Mar 11, 2009 = 4793

Playstation 3 Review
Judging by early reports the Playstation 3 is going to be one sweet machine. It will have the revolutionary Blue-ray technology and the ability to watch and burn DVD’s. This is very important as most consumers have DVD technology at the moment and it will be a smooth overlap. Have you wondered if you can get a free Playstation 3?
The Playstation 3 will be like a mini computer, with a huge amount of processing power. Some might even say more processing power than the now released XBOX 360.
When the Playstation 2 was released 7 years ago, the average number of games sold per unit sold was 5. Fastforward to the PSP; it released and has only sold about 2 games per PSP sold. This is mainly because of the multimedia aspect of the game. People are buying it to watch movies just as much as they are to play the games.
This doesn’t sound so bad, but it can cause problems for Sony. A lot of Sony’s income from video game consoles are the licensing fees they charge video game companies to create games on any of Sony’s console platforms. Thus, when less games are being sold, less money is being paid for the rights to make games since not as many games are being bought compared to the past. Maybe you can win a playstation 3 today.
Another possible problem with the Playstation 3 is the complexity of the interface. Since the Playstation 3 is so powerful, crtics are speculating that the console may confuse consumers and give the PS3 the reputation of being complicated.
Judging by the screenshots of games such as Fight Night Round 3 that were made for the Playstation 3 the life like imaging on the games are astounding.
Watever the case may be, we will have to wait until the release of the Playstation 3 to speculate on it’s features. One thing if for sure, it will be a feature packed console like nothing consumers have seen before. Check out the Top PS3 Games 2009 right now.

Want To Learn How To Do PS3 Linux Ubuntu Installation?
Do you know that you can install Linux to PS3, yes, your very own video game console the PlayStation 3? But what’s the big deal if you can? What are the uses that you can enjoy if ever you can install Linux OS to your PS3? Well, first and foremost, you can get to enjoy watching your favorite movies in high-definition quality. Not only that, if you want to turn your PlayStation 3 into a multi-functional computer that can let you play 50% more file formats, use advanced movie players to play your downloaded DVDs, play all types of PC games and run PC applications, install emulators that let you play vintage games and so much more, then, you should learn how to install Linux system for PS3 on your favorite video console.
I have this neighbor just a few blocks away who is still into older games, you know, those 8 or 32-bit games and even though that he has his own PS3 today, which was in fact his gift for his son the past year, he still going crazy over these older video games. When he learned that he can learn a PS3 Linux Yellow Dog installation, he immediately went to work. He scanned the Web for that particular software which almost everyone is talking about that can teach anyone to install Linux OS right into this very popular video game console. But, the fact of the matter is, he has a slight idea on what to do but he never wanted to void the warranty.
Until the time came when he finally found this software that not only can teach him install Yellow Dog for Linux on his PS3 but he can also learn a PS3 Linux Ubuntu software installation. So, this neighbor has a choice on what to install, either a Yellow Dog or Ubuntu. But the point is, now, he can either install any of the two without putting his video game console in a compromising position. Then, after he had accomplished in doing so, he is actually enjoying all of those old but still-enjoyable 16-bit games.

Would You Like To Install Linux Into Your PS3?
Not only you can watch movies on your Blu-Ray disc player or DVD player but you can also watch movies on your PS3. You know, that little video game console from the world’s number one gizmo maker? Well, right now, not only you can play video games on your favorite video game console but you can even watch movies, hook up on the Internet and listen to music and what you need to do is just to install the Linux OS on your PS3 and it’s a possibility. There is a book guide that will teach you how and where to get Linux for PS3 and once you have installed the software, you can literally do everything with it, the same things you can do with your PC or your home theater system.
At this very moment, only a few people have found out that they can install Linux on their PS3 and there are more things that one needs to find out on his PS3 other than playing video games and watching movies. With the Linux installed, you can practically do anything on your PS3 just like an ordinary PC unit. You can load images, edit them and you might even do a lot of spreadsheets and documents on your PS3. This is only possible when you get to do PS3 Linux installation. But the concern is, how will you ever learn to do all of these things?
As what have said earlier, there are book guides that are now spreading and are being promoted on the Internet and there are some people who have used some a book guide and have actually tried using it to install Linux OS on PS3 and they have succeeded. But they are emphasizing that in order to get the best book guide, find something that has a sort of PS3 Linux Yellow Dog system which will enable you to use your PS3 a whole lot more other than what is mentioned above.
