Exact turn-by-turn, spoken directions are clearly given. The mapping interface is given in 2D or 3D with efficient map redraw rates. A handy feature of this model is the Digital Elevation Maps. To give a good visual impression of the surrounding terrain, these maps show shaded contours.

To assure your Garmin Nuvi 255w is personal to you, you can input your own custom Points Of Interest, such as Post Offices or Traffic Blackspots.
