The Phone Recorder Discourages Workers From Making Personal Calls
The money I shelled out for my telephone recorder was nothing in comparison to what it has saved me. My folks and I run a large nursery. We receive a lot of full sale orders for trees, shrubs, rock and the like.
I use the telephone recorder to record all of the orders that are called in. Before the orders are satisfied and sent I check them against the telephone recording. The explanation why I do this is because we have had the experience of sending more material than what’s been ordered. In cases like these we fundamentally take the hit because it costs us more to send the van back out to the delivery site, and the salary of the workers to gather the materials and bring them back. In the past if we didnt send enough we would just assume we made the error and the customer would not have to pay for the additional amounts.
Now the phone recorder captures all of the info and I double check it before it is satisfied I know with certainty the orders are right. Since I started this process I can’t say I have had any overages on the orders that we have sent out. I have had two shoppers call back because they believed their order was short. On checking the recorded calls i have found that they got what they ordered but thought they ordered more. In the past we’d have thought it was our fault and just sent extra materials for no charge. That’s all changed with the telephone recorder process.
I wish that I had set up the phone call recorder long ago. It has actually reduced mistakes at the store. I’m proud to say that our clients are satisfied and their orders are given the attention they merit. In addition to improving our order precision also , I have realized that the staff makes personal calls. It in addition has daunted personal use of the office telephone and if my staff isn’t on the telephone they’re working and that is an advantage for my business. For all these reasons I’m satisfied with my telephone recorder.
