The Ways In Which Funny Internet Browser Based Games Have Evolved Over The Years On The Internet

Because they’re freeware and can be found on virtually any website, flash games and fun games are currently the most popular kind of computer games to play. The main appeal of these kinds of games is that they’re very easy to play and are quick to get the hang of. These cool games are relatively new; but ever since Flash and Java have become integrated components of browsers, flash games are easily accessible by anyone with an Internet connection.Flash games have come a long way since 1996. Back then there was very little or no media on most websites since there was no technology that could efficiently support them. The Internet back then was a boring place compared to the bustling activity we now have.

The release of Macromedia Flash in 1996 changed all this. By installing this on certain websites, games became animated and interactive. Aside from the innovations it introduced to online games, Macromedia Flash was also used to improve overall functionality of most web sites. Flash was eventually developed by programmers, and this enabled the creation of uncomplicated Internet games which could be played on Internet browsers.

Since then flash games were increasingly being played by the online community, but it wasn’t until 2001 did its popularity really take off. With the sudden influx of Internet users, flash games and funny games served as the perfect form of quick, distracting entertainment. Because of this sudden rise in popularity, web developers and programmers decided to streamline the most popular games at the time. This project was a success, which is why games which were originally played on other platforms were then remade with Flash.

As may be expected, these flash games encountered some problems. Some Flash-based programs, for instance, couldn’t be launched properly on older model computers, or the animations and transitions for some action games would lag if too many people tried to play one particular game at the same time. This is why in 2004 Flash MX and Action Script 2.0 were developed. Thanks to these programs, Flash applications were better organized and the media on websites functioned more efficiently. 2004 likewise ushered in the era of scoreboards in Flash games, which only helped increase the format’s popularity.

Flash games and funny games today are still so popular today because of the simplicity and fast pace of said games. There are hundreds of thousands of people online which play the most popular cool games such as Bejewelled. Users can now also create and play their own flash games on certain web sites. Particularly AddictingGames.com allows users to do just that, and it’s one of the most popular hosts for flash games. People who need to be entertained or to relax turn to flash games since they’re very easy to play. By tracing the history of flash games over the years, we can now conclude that these games will only get better and more interesting with time.
