Use A Phone Recorder As An Incentive For Workers To Strive For Excellence In Customer Service
My telephone recorder has helped me to run my pizza business much smoother. A while ago we were getting grumbles that the delivery orders were wrong. I own this tiny pizza business that does typically delivery. We have some clients pick up but that’s rare and it is not a sit down shop. We mainly deliver.
I didn’t have a phone recording device installed until I started getting these customer grumbles. I didn’t really know what to do. My employees, up to now, had rarely made mistakes with consumers pizzas. I had to find out a method to determine the issue, whether it was our internal process or one of my employees.
Fortunately it didn’t take long before I determined the guilty party. The telephone recorder played an important role in finding out who was to blame. One of my bros children wasn’t focusing on what he was entering as an order. He was splitting up with his fiance at the time and his head wasn’t in his work. In a call I was standing next to him and saw him entering the order into the system. Later that night the customer called to say he received the incorrect pizza. I made it to the client for a reduction next time and ran to hear the call. My nephew hadn’t entered the order right.
A phone recorder can make a big difference in your business. It did for mine. After I worked out who was the problem, I had a talk with him. He owned up to his mistakes and guaranteed to be extra careful. He didn’t cock up again and I didn’t have to give out any more kickbacks due to errors. It is important to me that our customers enjoy our pizza but also that they know we care about giving them good customer service. I feel that having the telephone recorder in place is an extra incentive for my superb staff to pursue excellence in service.
