Xbox enhancements are all very well appreciated. This redesign model solves every single problem which has plagued the past Xbox 360 consoles. First impressions, Xbox 360 Elite 250GB has a nice shiny finish and smaller. The whole size of the console has been reduced about 20%.

It now has touch sensitive buttons, which are a great cosmetic touch. The new soft touch buttons and the nice little “CHIME” each makes when you activate it. A single chime sounds to open or close the disc tray, and a multi tone chime sounds when you turn the machine on or off.

The previous system uses tube that pushes heat to the back to be vented, as for improvement now the heat is directly vented from the heat sink. This new design uses one big fan, instead of two smaller ones. This single fan is surrounded with foam to help stop vibrations and stopping pretty much all the sound the fan makes, to make for a whisper quiet fan.

The internal components have been completely redesigned, the processors have been reduced down to 30% to 45nm and integrated into a single chip. This newly designed chipset doesn’t get as hot or take as much power as past chipsets either.

The new DVD drive operates smoother than the older one. Though you can still hear the disc spinning when played with the DVD drive, it is much smoother than it used to be. When they say its whisper quiet they aren’t exaggerating especially with the game installed onto the hard drive. You have the large 250GB size hard drive which is a mass of space if you need to download contents or save games and as an alternative to play games for better performace.

The new Wi-Fi card is what so many people have been waiting for. The wireless card supports all connections up to 802.11n – the fastest Wi-Fi technology currently. The memory card slots no longer exists, in exchange two additional USB ports are added so there are a total of five, and this is a better option as now it supports flash drives.

Xbox 360 250GB Console is ready for Kinect. This console has one port at behind for kinect sensor system. Just plug kinect into this port and you are ready to play.
