Google started first as being an Internet search engine. It then became a company with many online solutions (besides offline ones) used by billions of end-users all over the world. Google also bought others online companies like Youtube. Such company gave Google more overall worth. Besides, solutions like Google Earth and Google Maps are being used by people all over the planet. It gave users nice web experience. And such programs can be integrated to any websites because of developer’s code provided by Google. Google also contribute to the open source community. The company will give funds to students for a 3 months programming camp every year called Google Summer of Code. Such funds are helping the open source community all over the world a lot. In a new venture to further serve the development of the Information Technology industry, Google has initiated a program to introduce an experimental fiber network in the US. The program was first announced by Google in February 2010. For a minimal cost, communities from all over the US were asked to sign for the service. It is aimed to provide Internet at speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second, which will allow high-bandwidth applications such as real-time lessons, advanced medical services, cloud computing and such other facilities to the public through this research.
